The Commercial Space Federation (CSF) announced the addition of two new associate members on August 31, 2026. Outlier and Rendezvous Robotics joined the Washington, D.C.-based industry group, according to a CSF statement reported by SpaceNews.
Outlier focuses on providing microgravity access for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and advanced materials research. The company uses a reusable satellite platform designed to offer reliable access to microgravity and safe return of payloads to Earth.

Nick Pearson, Head of Operations at Outlier, commented on the membership. "Joining the Commercial Space Federation community puts us alongside organizations shaping the future of commercial space," Pearson said. He noted it helps ensure engagement in relevant conversations as the company works to accelerate the space economy.
Outlier's executive team brings more than 40 years of combined aerospace experience. The leaders of its technical divisions each have a track record of delivering mission-critical systems. Joe Landon, co-founder and president of Rendezvous Robotics, explained the rationale. "In-space assembly enables new missions and capabilities that are constrained today by how spacecraft must be built to fit inside a rocket," Landon stated.
